Where & When
Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki
Saturday 17 Feb
11am and 1pm
Join artist Katie Blundell for a life-drawing session at Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki. The title of this event speaks to putting LGBTTQIA+ people within the frame. Centring and celebrating Rainbow folx as worthy subjects, claiming our space with confidence and Pride.
There are two sessions, open to all abilities. Drawing are materials provided. You’re very welcome to join us for one or both sessions. No bookings necessary.
Session 1
11am–12pm: Katie as the model: she will offer instruction and guidance from the centre of the space.
Session 2
1–2pm: You as the model: use your phone camera to take a picture of yourself. Katie will move around the group and offer guidance on drawing from your photo.
Katie Blundell is a contemporary New Zealand artist with a Master of Fine Arts from Elam School of Fine Arts. She bases herself in Clevedon, where she creates, exhibits and teaches from her studio and gallery.
