In 2022, the Sex and Prevention of Transmission Study (SPOTS) became the biggest survey of men who have sex with men (and people who have sex with MSM) in Aotearoa New Zealand history. In October 2023, following our extensive research, a report with recommendations was formally submitted to the New Zealand Blood Service. The SPOTS team is excited to share these insightful findings and proposed recommendations with the community, expressing our gratitude for their valuable thoughts and insights shared during this collaborative process.

Our work has been guided by consultations with our participants alongside the collaborative work with organisations like New Zealand Blood Service, Burnett Foundation Aotearoa, Body Positive and Te Whāriki Takapou. SPOTS have already informed government policy around PrEP and Monkeypox (mpox). We believe it's crucial that our communities have an opportunity to ask questions and directly hear from people conducting research that informs policy.

This seminar will run themed presentations from 6pm for one hour with discussion and questions after. Food and refreshments will be provided.

Speakers will be announced closer to the date.
